Joe Kerr Limited was founded in 1927 as a sand and gravel company by current owner Murray Kerr’s Uncle, Joe Kerr. His first truck was a 27 Fargo with 1-1/2 ton capacity and a hand operated dump box. He purchased his first crusher in the mid 30’s.
In the 85 years since those humble beginnings, Joe Kerr Limited has grown considerably. Today they have a fleet of modern trucks, five crusher spreads, screening and related processing equipment, a heavy duty truck repair centre and eight pits throughout Midwestern Ontario. With over forty five employees Joe Kerr Limited is one of Wingham’s largest employers.
